Audit Director

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Internal Audit to join our team in Brisbane. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals with a strong background in Internal Audit, preferably from a Big 4 firm or mid-tier accounting firm.
About Our ClientOur client is a fast-growing advisory and assurance firm with offices across Australia. They prioritize professional development, support, and a collaborative culture, boasting one of the lowest attrition rates in the industry.
Role OverviewThe successful candidate will assist the Assurance practice in delivering on our client's Strategic Plan and Assurance service line plans. Key responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day guidance and supervision of a team of professional internal auditors
- Leading and/or executing operational audit activities, including budget management, resource scheduling, client relationship management, etc.
- Ongoing development and maturity uplift of the Internal Audit function, including promoting their internal audit methodology
- Fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
- 7+ years in audit (not external audit) or assurance, ideally with project assurance experience
- Relevant professional certifications (CA, CPA, GCIA, CIA)
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- A proactive and innovative mindset
