Internal Audit Director

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Internal Audit to join our client in Brisbane. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals with a strong background in Internal Audit, preferably from a Big 4 firm or mid-tier accounting firm. You will be well-connected across the Brisbane market.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Assurance practice to deliver on our client's Strategic Plan and Assurance service line plans
- Day-to-day guidance and supervision of a team of professional internal auditors
- Leading and/or executing operational audit activities, including budget management, resource scheduling, client relationship management, etc.
- Ongoing development and maturity uplift of the Internal Audit function, including promoting their internal audit methodology
- Fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business
Requirements:
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
- 7+ years in audit (not external audit) or assurance, ideally with project assurance experience
- Relevant professional certifications (CA, CPA, GCIA, CIA)
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- A proactive and innovative mindset
