Earthmover Tyre Technician

Otraco International is a world-leading provider of Earthmover / Off-road tyre management services.

We are seeking an experienced Earthmover Tyre Technician to support project objectives at our Mt Thorley mine site.

About the Role

This role involves providing continuous on-site service by supporting the workshop, office, stock, and personnel. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with regular pit and tyre inspections with Client personnel in mine operating areas.
  • Utilizing windows of opportunity to conduct services.
  • Maintaining high quality and service standards for the Client.
  • Keeping the work area clean and tidy before shift changeover and performing daily housekeeping.
  • Leading by example to ensure compliance with site and company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Implementing tyre management practices to boost mine productivity and tyre lifespan.
  • Conducting operator tyre awareness and training.
  • Helping generate weekly plans based on field inspections.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have significant experience in fitting heavy earthmoving tyres and demonstrate the following:

  • A valid light vehicle driver's license (Class C in Australia).
  • A current Work Safe / High Risk Forklift Ticket.
  • A Certificate II in Automotive (Mechanical - Tyre fitting and repair Heavy).
  • At least two years of earthmover tyre fitting experience (highly desirable).
