Otraco International is seeking a Field Service Technician based at our Mt Thorley mine to support our project objectives at this site.

About the role

This role involves providing continuous on-site service by supporting the workshop, office, stock, and personnel. The ideal candidate will work with minimal supervision, value customer service, and be eager to learn tyre fitting skills. Responsibilities include:

  1. Assist with regular pit and tyre inspections with Client personnel in mine operating areas.
  2. Utilize windows of opportunity to conduct services.
  3. Maintain high quality and service standards for the Client.
  4. Keep the work area clean and tidy before shift changeover and perform daily housekeeping.
  5. Lead by example to ensure compliance with site and company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  6. Implement tyre management practices to boost mine productivity and tyre lifespan.
  7. Conduct operator tyre awareness and training.
  8. Help generate weekly plans based on field inspections.
About you

The successful candidate will have significant experience in fitting heavy earthmoving tyres and demonstrate the following:

  • A valid light vehicle driver's license (Class C in Australia).
  • Current Work Safe / High Risk Forklift Ticket.
  • Certificate II in Automotive (Mechanical - Tyre fitting and repair Heavy).
  • At least two years of earthmover tyre fitting experience (highly desirable).
