Excavation Machinery Specialist

The Opportunity

You will assemble, maintain, and repair a wide range of mining and construction equipment to customer specifications. You will also provide quality diagnostic and general maintenance service in a professional and timely manner.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Repairing and maintaining both new and used equipment
  • Conducting basic failure analysis and identifying specific modes of failure
  • Preparing and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipment
  • Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner
  • Completing and submitting all relevant paperwork and reports
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment in line with the company's standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role:

  • A Mechanical Trade qualification - Commercial Vehicle trades will also be considered
  • Previous experience with the assembly, overhaul, repair, and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment
  • High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) - highly regarded
  • A focus on safety with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles
  • Good communication skills and a dedication to delivering quality results
