Job Description:

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across Australia & New Zealand, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • We strive for excellence in everything we do, from our products to our business operations.
  • This role is based onsite in Melbourne with hybrid working arrangements, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the period-end process, including coordination with cross-functional teams in ANZ and submission of financial results to Head Office in France.
  • Develop and maintain recurring financial management reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and accountability.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and drive implementation to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist the Financial Operations Manager in managing the financial operations of the business, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the Mars Tax & Treasury team on tax compliance and audit-related matters.
  • Contribute to the success of our S&F team by participating in projects, team engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

  • A proven accounting professional with experience in large corporate or public practice environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a drive for meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
  • Desirable: ERP experience.
