About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced and visionary leader to oversee our Financial Reporting and Accounting teams. You'll be responsible for leading and coordinating these teams to deliver exceptional results, meeting group reporting and financial control requirements while ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.

  • Develop and implement robust financial principles, procedures, and practices aligned with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with peers across different functions, departments, and related businesses.
  • Coordinate reconciliation activities across AIA and CMLA businesses.
  • Ensure all accounting policies are up-to-date and comply with AIA Group-defined or specific policies for AIA Australia.
  • Develop individual performance objectives and skills development plans for staff members.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field, and membership with CAANZ/CPA or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working within a similar role in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Strong financial control knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to engage collaborators to understand business objectives.
