About the Role

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Commercial Director and the sales and marketing teams at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. This is a high-profile position within the organization, requiring initiative, relationship-building skills, and the ability to multitask.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Commercial Director and the sales and marketing teams, ensuring the smooth running of the department.
  • Marketing Materials: Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials, such as hotel brochures and sales kits for external promotions.
  • Event Planning: Assist in the planning of day-to-day activities of the senior team as required.
  • Market Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of rates, packages, and operational details of the hotel to handle site inspections with the hotel's client base.
  • Cost Management: Assist in the management of costs and maintain an up-to-date monthly cost ledger for the S&M department.
  • Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly/weekly reports for the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Correspondence: Assist in the dispatch and collection of Sales and Marketing correspondence within the hotel.
  • Research and Analysis: Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing with research and competitive analysis.
  • Project Management: Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing with specified projects relating to internal/external promotions.

  • Organization: Highly organized and manages priorities efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Handles tasks carefully and correctly – is thorough and exact in details with a sense of urgency balanced with a high attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Good team player; contributes to and assists co-workers without being asked.
  • Administrative Experience: Previous administrative experience required.
