Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Pharmacist to join our team at NSW Health. As a Pharmacist Grade 1/2, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmacy services to outpatients and inpatients, ensuring the quality use of medicines within the hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical drug knowledge and competence to achieve safe and efficient quality care.
  • Conduct patient medication reviews and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with limited supervision to meet team objectives.
  • Manage a complex workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A Registered Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no restriction on practice.
  • Demonstrated effective clinical drug knowledge and competence in its application to achieve safe and efficient quality care.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the patient medication review process.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with limited supervision to meet team objectives.
  • Proven organisation skills and a capacity to manage a complex workload.
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills necessary to interact effectively with patients and other stakeholders to improve patient care and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in problem solving displaying judgement, initiative and independence.
  • Current continued professional development plan relevant to hospital pharmacy and a commitment to participate in on-going education.
