Electrical Engineering Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client in Perth for their engineering consultancy.

This is an initial 12-month contract, with a view for long-term employment. The role will be based in the Perth office, Monday – Friday office hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop designs for power distribution, motor control, and PLC control systems for mining projects.
  • Prepare design drawings, assist with procurement of electrical equipment, and work with external parties to fabricate control panels.
  • Although this position is based in Perth, there may be short periods of onsite work during the commissioning phase.
Key Requirements:
  • Educational background in Electrical/Controls Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia).
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience with mining projects, ideally with site exposure.
  • Experience with PLC systems and Variable Speed Drives, as well as Site or Commissioning experience, is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with Gold Mining Processes is highly advantageous.
  • Current Australian working rights – PR or Eligible Visa.
