Senior Technical Strategist

We are seeking an experienced technical leader to join our Foundations team. This is a critical position that will require strong strategic vision, technical expertise, and collaboration skills.

About the Role:

This senior individual contributor role will cover key areas of our technical stack, including Compute, Network, Data Platform, Identity, Security, and Reliability. As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to drive company-wide initiatives and shape the future of our technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business objectives, customer needs, industry trends, and product adoption inhibitors to define a long-term strategy and roadmap for Foundations.
  • Translate strategy and platform/product requirements into technical requirements and solutions in collaboration with engineering counterparts.
  • Streamline the execution of the articulated roadmap and evangelize adoption/usage of the platform and tools across executives and product teams.
  • Proactively identify inhibitors, issues, or opportunities and address them or find the right owners to do so.
  • Drive complex, cross-divisional projects/initiatives, managing dependencies and projects with a broad scope across the company.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience on software teams as TPM, Engineer, Engineering Manager, or PM.
  • Experience analyzing business priorities, customer needs, industry trends, and articulating a long-term roadmap for your area of responsibilities.
  • Ability to translate customer and/or product requirements into technical requirements.
  • Experience influencing architecture or technical design, leveraging subject matter expertise and technical depth.
  • Experience driving projects spanning multiple orgs, including negotiating and reaching agreement with partners and stakeholders.
  • Rich experience building large-scale commercial Cloud Services and PaaS.
