About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead our team in delivering a major infrastructure project in Melbourne.

As the Project Director, you will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from bid phase to project close-out. This includes managing a team of specialists, developing and implementing project plans, and ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will also be responsible for managing the project's health and safety, financial, and contractual aspects, as well as developing and maintaining a stable and efficient supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the project team and ensure the successful delivery of the project
  • Develop and implement project plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Manage the project's health and safety, financial, and contractual aspects
  • Develop and maintain a stable and efficient supply chain
  • Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a senior management role on similar type of project
  • Track record of delivering technically challenging projects within time and cost constraints
  • Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles, including relevant specification on highway/road construction
  • High level of knowledge in contractual and commercial aspects, including standard forms of contract
  • Excellent communication and people skills to effectively manage the link with other stakeholders and interface professionally with the client
