Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Water Management Engineer to join our team in Perth, Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing water management solutions for various mining projects.

About the Role:

  • Develop detailed designs for water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, borefields, pump stations, and ponds.
  • Create technical project deliverables, such as construction drawings, quantity estimates, and scope definitions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure design compliance and quality.
  • Conduct field inspections and facilitate project design reviews.
  • Prepare final engineering deliverables, including pipeline schematics, GA's, P&ID's, and critical equipment selection.
  • Input capital estimates, including quantity calculations.
  • Coordinate operational readiness requirements.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals for budget and technical compliance.
  • Ensure designs meet relevant regulations, project requirements, and best practices.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, recognized by Engineers Australia.
  • Piping systems and pipeline design experience, preferably within the mining industry or engineering consultancy.
  • Previous experience in mine dewatering is essential.
  • Knowledge of Australian and international standards and regulatory authority requirements in the mining and water industries.
  • Ability to travel for short trips to site for scoping and stakeholder engagement.
  • Competency in Visio and ArcMap is desirable.
