Job Title: Para-Sport Hub Lead

The South Australian Sports Institute is seeking an experienced and skilled Para-Sport Hub Lead to establish and lead a team focused on recruiting and developing talented para-sport athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent identification and talent transfer initiatives to develop sustainable pathways for athletes and coaches.
  • Sport selection for eligible athletes, ensuring effective collaboration and communication within the team.
  • Para-sport pathway identification in South Australia, enhancing community engagement with the South Australian Sports Institute.
  • Para-sport classification and athlete development, delivering performance support to optimize results.
  • Health, wellbeing, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure athlete safety and well-being.
  • Establishing strong relationships with Paralympics Australia, National and State Sporting Organisations, and the Australian Institute of Sport.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in sports management, sports science, or other relevant field.
  • Experience and knowledge of high-performance para-sport, including leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, ensuring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong working relationship with stakeholders, including parents and athletes.
