The University of Sydney Debating Society is seeking a group of dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to contribute to the success of its debating program.

About the Role

This role requires a commitment of approximately 12 months, beginning in November 2025. It is essential to be available for regular meetings, interviews, and events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and revise debating regulations
  • Organize debating programs and events
  • Support the Director of Debates
  • Attend regular committee meetings
  • Participate in USU events and activities
Selection Criteria

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a current University of Sydney student
  • Hold an active membership or be willing to obtain one
  • Be able to commit to regular meetings and events
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Show involvement in the USU Debating Society and knowledge of USU and its activities
