About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to take on a Senior Paediatric Rehab Case Manager position in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with families, children, adolescents, and medical professionals to assess and establish rehabilitation needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the family, child/adolescent, and treating medical teams to identify current rehabilitation requirements;
  • Support and guide families in establishing their child's rehabilitation needs and timing for different services throughout the continuum;
  • In collaboration with the family and child, facilitate the development of clear person-centred rehabilitation goals and formulate plans for approval by funding sources;
  • Develop high-quality reports, service requests, and costing as required by insurance schemes;
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all rehabilitation-related matters;
  • Ongoing monitoring of progress, reporting, and identification of barriers to recovery;

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A degree in Physiotherapy with AHPRA registration;
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and families;
  • An understanding of traumatic brain injury and its effects on children and adolescents;
  • Experience working with children who have suffered traumatic injuries or have complex disabilities;
  • Knowledge of the Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and Lifetime Care and Support scheme, and a willingness to become an Approved Case Manager;
  • Demonstrated ability to work within an interdisciplinary team;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including complex negotiation skills;
  • A current unrestricted driver's license;
  • Eligibility to work permanently in Australia.
