About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to take on a Senior Paediatric Rehab Case Manager position in Sydney. As part of our client's team, you will work collaboratively with families, children/adolescents, and medical professionals to provide rehabilitation services.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Speech Pathology, SPA registration, and minimum 5 years of clinical experience. You should have a strong understanding of traumatic brain injury and its effects on children/adolescents. Additionally, you should have experience working with children/adolescents who have suffered traumatic injuries or have complex disabilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with families, children/adolescents, and medical teams to assess and establish rehabilitation needs;
  • Supporting and guiding families in establishing their child's rehabilitation needs and timing for different services throughout the rehabilitation continuum;
  • Developing high-quality formalised report writing, service requests, and service costing as required by insurance schemes;
  • Acting as the key contact for all rehabilitation-related matters in relation to treatment, care, and return to school/study;
  • Ongoing monitoring of progress, reporting, and identification of barriers to recovery throughout the rehabilitation continuum;
  • Problem-solving in collaboration with all involved to overcome obstacles and manage issues enabling children/young people to move forward;
