
Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional to play a vital role in Tasmania's mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) service landscape.
This position involves working collaboratively with public, private, and community sector providers to streamline access to appropriate mental health and AOD services. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting individuals in need of mental health support by integrating innovative referral pathways and enhancing access, responsiveness, and continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with people with lived experience and their families and friends, including working confidently and effectively both individually and as a member of a multidisciplinary team within an environment subject to high work pressures and change.
- Undertake duties in a professional manner and with a high level of discretion, together with the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders, while maintaining a high level of stakeholder satisfaction in often complex situations.
- Use office automation systems within a Microsoft Office environment and general knowledge of financial administration processes within the public sector.
