This role supports the Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) in maintaining and evolving SALAS, the central live repository for hazards and risks across ADF flying operations.

We are seeking a Data Insights Specialist to lead analysis and modelling of aviation risk and safety data. The successful candidate will work closely with Defence stakeholders to interpret requirements and shape solutions.

  • Provide guidance on data governance and integration across ICT platforms.">

">Requirements / Qualifications">

  • Comfortable working with data modelling, analysis and structured reporting.">
  • A confident communicator who can engage with a wide range of stakeholders.">
  • Familiar with secure or Defence environments, or willing to learn.">
  • Focused on practical outcomes and understanding how data supports decision-making.">
  • Experienced with tools like PowerBI, SQL Server, or similar.">
  • Able to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.">

Security clearance (NV1 minimum) or eligibility to obtain is essential.

Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
