We are seeking a highly skilled Patent Attorney to join our team.

Job Description

As a Patent Attorney, you will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications in Australia and internationally. You will also prepare high-quality written and verbal IP advice in a timely manner, manage intellectual property portfolios for local and international clients, and develop and execute IP strategies tailored to client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

You must be a registered Australian or New Zealand patent attorney who is degree qualified (or higher) in electrical or electronics engineering, computer systems engineering, mechatronics engineering, information and communications technology (ICT), physics, quantum computing, software engineering or a related technical field.

  1. 1-3 years post-registration experience as a Patent Attorney
  2. Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the above technical fields
  3. Experience managing IP portfolios and developing IP strategies for Australian and international applicants
  4. A client-focused approach and ability to build strong professional relationships
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  6. Exceptional technical knowledge
  7. An eye for detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  8. Advanced Computer skills and database researching skills
  9. Highly organised and responsible with experience prioritising and working to deadlines
  10. A positive attitude with a collaborative and innovative mindset
