About the Role

Ricoh Imaging Europe is seeking a highly skilled Pricing Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our commercial operations, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability through effective pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pricing Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute pricing strategies across various product lines, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Financial Modeling: Build and manage complex financial models to assess customer, contract, and product/service profitability, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Commercial Operations: Support the bid team by leading pricing solution development and financial analysis, ensuring alignment with bid strategy and planning.
  • Price Change Implementation: Provide recommendations for implementing price changes to existing customers, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Pricing Scenario Development: Develop pricing scenarios/options by analyzing variables, challenging assumptions, and assessing risks, ensuring optimal pricing strategies.
  • Cost Structure Analysis: Understand cost structures, analyzing variable and fixed costs, projecting sales volumes, and estimating potential revenue, to inform pricing decisions.
  • Customer Profitability Analysis: Conduct post and mid-contract customer profitability analysis, providing insights to optimize pricing and revenue growth.
  • Commercial Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement commercial solutions that support business growth and profitability.
  • Pricing Decision Implementation: Lead the implementation of pricing decisions in systems, tools, and contracts, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reporting to senior management on pricing performance, market trends, pricing benchmarks, and potential opportunities and strategic recommendations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of pricing/commercial analytical experience in a product or service provider environment.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with experience in pricing and commercial environments.
  • Personal Qualities: Comfortable working in ambiguous and uncertain environments, with a 'can-do' and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Education: Proven experience in commercial management, commercial operations, and commercial solution development functions.
  • Relationship Building: Proven experience managing and building long-term internal and external customer relationships.
  • Communication: Ability to present to business and technical audiences, with creative presentation and delivery skills.
  • Negotiation and Problem Resolution: Effective negotiation and problem resolution skills to achieve win-win situations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of industry-based concepts and commercial constructs, including opex, capex, and financed delivery models.
  • Autonomy and Self-Management: Ability to work autonomously and self-manage, with minimal supervision.
