Transportation Planning Role

You will play a pivotal role in executing technical transport modelling and traffic engineering skills on projects.

As the successful candidate, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the development, calibration, and application of transport models used in the assessment of infrastructure design solutions, transport policy options, and economic appraisals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, calibrate, and apply transport models for infrastructure design solution assessments
  • Prepare comprehensive transport modelling and traffic engineering reports
  • Plan, programme, and coordinate own workload to deliver outputs on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards
  • Manage or assist in projects involving plan review, presentation, and submissions for clients as required
  • Assist project managers with planning, programming, and coordination to ensure project outputs meet or exceed agreed goals
  • Deliver the project scope including assessments and report writing
  • Provide support to project managers and senior technical personnel during meetings with team members and clients
Requirements:
  • Proven knowledge of transport modelling and transport planning practices in WA is essential
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or comparable qualification such as Town Planning
  • Minimum 4 years professional experience in the consulting and engineering industry post graduate
  • Experience using transport modelling software such as SIDRA and Aimsun
  • Autoturn experience highly regarded
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret and understand information delivered in various forms
  • Capacity to work under pressure, show initiative, prioritise and schedule work as required
  • Knowledge of Quality, OHS, and environmental compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Capacity to travel to project sites as needed
