Overview

Jacobs are seeking a Principal Transport Planner to join our Integrated Transport & Mobility team in Perth. You will lead the growth of the Perth office, deliver consultancy services in transport planning in Western Australia and across the ANZ region, and provide technical guidance on large strategic consulting and design projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead project delivery and project management for transport planning studies and related technical activities in a commercial environment.
  • Position and win projects, support management of the Integrated Transport & Mobility team, develop technical capability, and grow the transport planning portfolio.
  • Act as technical and project lead for transport planning and assessment projects; provide guidance on transport planning advice for large strategic projects.
  • Drive business development, identify opportunities, and support winning new work; develop and maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to key Jacobs clients.
  • Facilitate the technical development of junior resources, promote knowledge sharing, and coach team members; support cross-geography collaboration to maximise global delivery value.
What you'll need
  • Effective communication, commercial awareness, business development skills, and ability to prepare proposals and engage with clients
  • Working knowledge of the local environment and the Western Australian Transport Sector
  • Knowledge and application of transport planning concepts and tasks
  • Understanding of the interfaces between transport planning, traffic engineering, transport modelling and infrastructure design
  • Project management experience of studies, assessments and other technical activities in a commercial environment
