This role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled developer to join our team as a Lead Developer, Financial Systems Specialist in Sydney, Australia. In this position, you will design, develop, test, and support the implementation of features on our pControl platform.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing complex features using Python and pControl DSL frameworks
  • Configuring the pControl application using the pControl configuration layer and internal domain-specific language
  • Designing and documenting solutions to satisfy both internal and client requirements
  • Analyzing data to support processing requirements and troubleshooting issues
  • Supporting clients during the implementation process

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in programming and structured development techniques
  • Demonstrable Python experience within a commercial environment (at scale)
  • Database querying skills (SQL – PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Appreciation of business systems architecture, system administration, and implementation projects
  • Experience in unit testing and creating test case scenarios
  • A strong understanding of Agile development techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure
