Opportunity for Senior Biophysicist

This project offers an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled biophysicist to investigate the molecular mechanisms of the cardiac HERG potassium ion channel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employ advanced computational approaches using supercomputers to examine HERG channel mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with researchers on this project.
Requirements
  • Hold a PhD in physics, physical chemistry or a closely related discipline.
  • Have research experience in computation in biophysics, condensed matter physics or physical chemistry.
  • Experience in atomistic simulations of membrane protein systems, particularly ion channels.
  • Experience in statistical mechanical theory and molecular dynamics simulations for biophysical problems.
  • Background in using enhanced sampling and free energy methods, such as Umbrella Sampling and Free Energy Perturbation.
