Potassium Ion Channel Computational Biophysicist

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher to join our team in investigating the molecular mechanisms of potassium ion channel function and modulation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a researcher with a strong background in computation in biophysics, condensed matter physics, or physical chemistry to contribute to our research project.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct advanced molecular dynamics simulations using existing packages such as NAMD/VMD and CHARMM to study potassium ion channels.
- Develop and apply statistical mechanical theory and free energy methods to understand ion channel conduction, inactivation, and modulation mechanisms.
- Collaborate with experimental researchers in cryo EM and electrophysiology to integrate computational results with experimental data.
- Contribute to the development of new research projects and publications.
- PhD in physics, physical chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- Research background in computation in biophysics, condensed matter physics, or physical chemistry.
- Experience in atomistic simulations of membrane protein systems, particularly ion channels.
- Strong skills in supercomputing, programming/scripting in a Unix environment, and MD scripting for advanced simulations and analysis.
- Ability to work well with experimental collaborators and achieve high-impact publications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
