About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Compliance Officer to join our Customer Services Group, specifically the No Go Zone team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for managing works in and around the No Go Zone, providing specialist support and advice to internal and external customers regarding CitiPower and Powercor's register of underground and overhead assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective specialist support and advice to internal and external customers regarding queries and issues related to CitiPower and Powercor's register of underground and overhead assets, Permits to Work, and the No Go Zone process.
  • Work in the vicinity of both overhead and underground assets, providing informative technical advice to internal and external customers regarding the content and validity of plans, standards for Permits to Work, and general customer enquiries.
  • Understand and apply policies, procedures, work instructions, and standards for Dial Before You Dig inquiries, Permit to Work concepts, drafting standards, and CitiPower and Powercor information systems.
  • Ensure that all customer requests are registered, responded to, and actioned in a timely and accurate manner and approved method.

Requirements:

  • Certificate of Competency (Distribution Systems)/Certificate of Technology (Electrical)/Certificate IV Electrical/Associate Diploma Electrical Engineering, Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems or significant industry experience.
  • Proficient in the use of standard industry underground cable locators and application of VESI guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organisation and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management and with peers.
