We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic scientific team at Westmead Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals to contribute to impactful medical research and make a positive difference in community health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate exceptional expertise in laboratory activities, including quality management and compliance with standards.
- C coordinate and deliver scientific and technical training programs.
- Evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent, with relevant pathology subjects.
- Proven experience in pathology services, Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems, Quality Control Systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, report writing, and data analysis skills.
- Able to manage priorities efficiently and work both independently and in teams.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and understanding of legislation related to laboratory operations.
- Experience reviewing QC/QAP and troubleshooting assays.
