Research Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Scientific Associate with an interest in Neuroscience and Drug Development to contribute to research seeking to build new therapeutic agents to combat Alzheimer's Disease.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide experimental, technical and administrative support on a range of research activities including assay development, in vitro drug screening, cell culture and microscopy analysis.
  • Contribute to the preparation of research data and assist in the preparation of manuscripts and presentations for publication.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve project goals and objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with honours or masters equivalent (or higher) in medical science, neuroscience, biochemistry, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of laboratory administration and experimental planning.
  • Experience with laboratory techniques such as cell culture, high throughput assay screening, immunocytochemistry, protein extraction, and Western blotting.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a demonstrated capacity to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
