
Perinatal Healthcare Specialist

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Women's and Babies Division. You will work across multiple wards, including Delivery Suite, Postnatal Service, Women's Outpatient Department, Antenatal Gynaecology Ward, and Women's Assessment Service.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Midwife Unit Managers by providing clinical education and promoting quality patient care.
- Deliver midwifery and/or nursing services across various care settings, progressing from competent to proficient practice.
- Guide and support less experienced staff while being accountable for your own clinical standards and delegated responsibilities.
- Foster collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, women, and families to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Maintain an Education Portfolio, with tailored responsibilities aligned with individual development goals and performance plans.
- Be registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife or Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and hold a current practicing certificate.
- Possess additional tertiary or vocational qualifications in education.
- Demonstrate effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Exhibit well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive health outcomes and foster productive working relationships across disciplines.
- Hold a Midwife or Nurse/Midwife qualification with at least 3 years post-graduation experience or currently classified as a Clinical Midwife or Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
- Relocation financial support may be negotiated, subject to eligibility.
- A salary package including living expenses up to $9,010 each FBT year + $2,650 for Meal Entertainment expenses each FBT year.
