Safety Lead - Store Delivery Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Lead - Store Delivery Expert to join our team at Woolworths Group. As a key member of our Store Delivery team, you will be responsible for guiding the development and implementation of transport safety and assurance frameworks to ensure that all Distribution Centres and Primary Connect transport teams exceed transport safety obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise, mentoring and guidance to ensure that transport safety standards and legislative requirements are met or exceeded by Store Delivery and their extended network, as well as compliance with the Primary Connect Safety Management System
  • Conduct assurance activities on internal business units and on external businesses in accordance with the annual assurance plan and established assurance frameworks and support the close out of non-conformities
  • Coach and lead internal business units and external partners to deliver safe, effective and compliant outcomes for transport safety
  • Develop specific documented practices that relate to transport safety/chain of responsibility either directly or through partnership with other key teams in safety, operations and support functions
  • Work with operational and functional teams to improve transport safety performance through the development and delivery of the safety plan
  • Develop assurance and other safety written reports

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of operational transport safety/chain of responsibility experience, with experience in retail supply chain desirable but not essential
  • Ability to deal with complex problems with high ambiguity where solutions are not defined
  • Good presentation skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work across the varying requirements within an operational environment
  • Lead Auditor Qualification or ability to acquire, will be desirable
