Job Description

Role Overview:

The site manager is responsible for overseeing and managing operational aspects of sites, ensuring contractual obligations are met and partnerships with business partners drive value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day site contract requirements, ensuring adherence to agreed terms, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Act as point of contact for contractors, addressing issues and resolving disputes promptly to maintain operational continuity.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with contracting partners to foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and mutual benefit.
  • Identify opportunities to add value through contractor engagement, process improvement, and innovative practices.
  • Assist in coaching contractors and internal teams to ensure best safety practices are followed across site operations.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating safety-first behaviour and reinforcing organisational values in the field.
  • Conduct regular audits of internal operations and contractor activities to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational standards.
  • Track, manage, and analyse costs associated with site contracts to ensure budget adherence and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of contract management principles, mining operations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external contracting partners.
  • Demonstrated experience in field leadership, coaching, and promoting safety culture.
  • Proficiency in conducting audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Financial acumen with experience in cost tracking, accruals, and budget management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and work under pressure.
