We are currently seeking highly skilled and motivated engine rebuilders to specialise in the overhaul of heavy diesel engines. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently as part of a team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on workshop position where you will be responsible for the complete strip-down, inspection, rebuild, and review of test results for heavy diesel engines. You will also contribute to the ongoing development and upskilling of maintainers working alongside on these engines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rebuild Caterpillar C Series and 3400/3500 series engines to specification.
  • Assess engine condition prior to rebuild and identify required parts and reclamation accordingly.
  • Operate with a high focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Use precision measuring tools and follow OEM technical data.
  • Work collaboratively with the workshop team to meet turnaround targets.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in rebuild processes.

Detailed service reports will be provided.

Requirements
  • Proven experience rebuilding Caterpillar C Series / 3200 Series or similar off-highway truck heavy diesel engines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Trade qualification (Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
