Senior Heavy Diesel Technician

About this role
We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic and Mobile Plant Equipment Fitter to join our team. In this permanent full-time position, you will be responsible for all aspects of heavy diesel mechanics and mobile plant equipment fitting.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Safety Commitment: Proactive awareness and total assurance of the importance of safety in the workplace.
- Overhauling minor and major hydraulic and mechanical components on various equipment.
- Undertaking diagnostic work, failure analysis and repairs; liaising with technical specialists when required.
- Completing and submitting relevant paperwork and reports.
- Supervising, mentoring and coaching assistance for apprentices.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum Certificate III in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
- Experience and skillset in heavy diesel mechanics and field service fitting, with demonstrated work experience and technical knowledge of construction equipment.
- Analytical thinking skills to navigate complex technical issues in repair and maintenance services with minimal to zero rework.
- Autonomous productivity skills to plan work fronts efficiently and effectively, delivering quality outcomes to ensure total customer satisfaction.
