Role Summary:

Clinical Coding Audit Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Coding Audit Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in coordinating audit responses to insurer onsite and remote audits.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading coding teams with integrity and commitment to coding accuracy, as well as excellent working knowledge of clinical coding using ICD-AM/ACHI and ACS.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate audit team response to insurer onsite and remote audits.
  • Align audit work program with internal coding audit initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to workgroups on coding audit matters.

Additionally, the candidate will establish positive working relationships with HIM teams, hospital coders, and insurer audit teams, and commit to continuous improvement of coding accuracy.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Experience leading coding teams with integrity and commitment to coding accuracy.
  • Excellent working knowledge of clinical coding using ICD-AM/ACHI and ACS.
  • Certificate IV in Clinical Classification, Associate Diploma or Bachelor of Applied Science, Medical Record Administration or Health Information Management, or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy with experience in patient administration software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong communication skills for articulating audit results and fostering collaboration.
