Job Title: Senior Audit Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated professional to join our audit team as a Senior Audit Specialist.

About the Role
  • We are seeking an experienced auditor to prepare, plan and execute audit assignments in accordance with industry standards.
  • The successful candidate will undertake preliminary reviews of client data to identify issues for further investigation during the audit process.
  • They will also conduct substantive tests of transactions and balances, raising issues and/or adjustments as necessary.
  • Additionally, they will be responsible for preparing statutory financial statements in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Other key responsibilities include drafting management letters and audit reports for review by managers, and preparing clear, concise workpapers for stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated knowledge of superannuation principles, strategies and legislation.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in external audit are highly desirable, ideally from a reputable firm.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in audit is required, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, are essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike, are also critical.
