Aviation Medical Officer

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Medical Officer to join our team at Serco's Australian Defence Force Health Services. As a civilian General Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality clinical care to Defence personnel across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver medical services, including aviation-based services such as fitness to fly assessments, aviation medicals, and aircrew clinical health management to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.
- Provide medical technical advice to the Joint Health Unit (JHU) Commanding Officer (CO), Joint Health Command (JHC) Health Centre Manager, and Commanders of units.
- Work in an outpatient setting or as inpatient care within a hospital or medical centre as required.

Requirements:
- Current unconditional and unrestricted General registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Vocational Registration
- Minimum of 2 years' full-time post-graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with both AHPRA and Defence requirements
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification
Security Clearance: You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
