Thrift Shop Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Thrift Shop Assistant to join our team in Melbourne. This is a casual position that involves providing quality customer service, pricing, and maintaining the general appearance and upkeep of the shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximise sales and revenue through the processing of donations by receiving, sorting, pricing, hanging saleable goods, and disposing of non-saleable items.
  • Maintain optimal store stock levels to maximise sales and revenue.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to customer needs and actively seeking opportunities to connect customers with our mission.
  • Assist in the organisation of store promotions.
  • Ensure the shops run efficiently and effectively in the absence of managers.

Requirements:

  • Certificate in Retail Operations or Diploma of Business (desirable).
  • Experience working with volunteers (desirable).
  • Retail experience.
  • Basic working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A current valid driver's licence.
