
Senior Community Developer

Developing and delivering training programs for students and staff is a critical component of this role.
The successful candidate will contribute to the creation of safe and inclusive university communities through the delivery of relevant training and complementary education initiatives. This includes developing and coordinating training programs for students and staff, as well as providing expert advice on best practice and evidence-based initiatives relating to disclosures and prevention of gender-based violence.
This position involves working collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives, including participation in decision-making processes, establishing performance measures, and monitoring and evaluating the delivery of initiatives and related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Program Development: Develop and deliver high-quality training programs that meet the needs of students and staff.
- Community Engagement: Contribute to the creation of safe and inclusive university communities through the delivery of relevant training and complementary education initiatives.
- Advice and Guidance: Provide expert and authoritative advice on best practice and evidence-based initiatives relating to disclosures and prevention of gender-based violence.
- Risk Management: Identify, communicate, measure, mitigate, and report on risks to students within UWA frameworks and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Flexibility: Some after-hours work may be required.
- Criminal History Checks: Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance Certificate are mandatory.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in community development, training, and project management, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
