About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to join Davidson as an Intelligence Officer, working within the Organisational Capability business area. As a key member of the Strategic Compliance team, you will provide support to the Manager, Strategic Compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize various tools to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data related to biosecurity regulation and compliance to identify needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various Queensland Government organizations to share intelligence and coordinate efforts.
  • Assist in the development of a centralized intelligence capability, overseeing the entire intelligence cycle (direction, collection, analysis, and dissemination) of intelligence to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with leadership teams to provide strategic guidance based on intelligence findings to support decision-making processes and long-term planning.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing intelligence findings, trends, and recommendations. Present these reports to senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all intelligence activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of intelligence tools and methodologies and implement improvements as necessary to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of intelligence operations.
  • Enhance intelligence capabilities and processes to support an insights-driven culture that incorporates Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
  • Develop intelligence projects, including project ideation and design.
  • Prepare project documentation, including project plans, requirements specifications, and testing plans.
  • Train, coach, and mentor officers in the use of intelligence, data, and analytics to contribute to the Biosecurity Queensland continuous improvement culture.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 3 years' experience in Intelligence roles or demonstration of skills and capabilities to undertake the role description.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to train and coach other officers in the use of intelligence, data, and analytics.
  • Completion of a Criminal History Check.
The Benefits
  • $83.13 per hour + Super (Agency Contractor – PAYG)

  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
