Payroll Governance Specialist

Alfred Health is a leader in healthcare delivery, improvement, research, and education. Its main role is to provide health services to people living in Melbourne's inner southeast suburbs.
This role involves leading a dedicated team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for employees. It also includes implementing best practices, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvements in payroll systems and processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strategic leadership of the Payroll Governance & Operations team
- Overseeing end-to-end payroll processes and ensuring compliance with Enterprise Agreements and relevant legislation
- Implementing governance policies, conducting regular audits, and addressing payroll discrepancies
- Identifying opportunities for process automation and system enhancements
- Ensuring data security and confidentiality while fostering employee satisfaction
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field
- Certification in Payroll
- Minimum 10 years' experience in payroll management (healthcare sector preferred)
