Job Summary:

EBR is seeking an experienced Ecological Specialist to join our team in a full-time or part-time capacity. As an Ecological Specialist, you will be responsible for undertaking desktop and field-based terrestrial biodiversity assessments, providing advice on environmental designs, and preparing biodiversity offset strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough desktop and field-based terrestrial biodiversity assessments to identify potential environmental impacts.
  • Provide expert advice on environmental designs, including fauna connectivity structures, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement biodiversity offset strategies to mitigate environmental impacts.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Prepare high-quality reports to exceptional technical and editorial standards.

Requirements:

  • Hold a BAM accredited assessor certification.
  • Have experience in undertaking biodiversity assessments in NSW.
  • Have expertise and confidence in the identification of NSW vegetation communities.
  • Be able to develop and lead a team of less senior staff.
  • Have an appreciation of commercial risk management in the consulting industry.
  • Hold a current driver's license.
