Job Overview

The Royal Hobart Hospital is a leading tertiary referral centre for Tasmania, delivering approximately 2000 births each year.

This graduate program provides an exceptional opportunity to consolidate knowledge across various aspects of midwifery practice, including antenatal clinic, inpatient care, pregnancy assessment, labour and birth, postnatal care, community-based services, and lactation support.

  • In collaboration with healthcare professionals, plan, implement, and evaluate women's and family care.
  • Practice according to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia codes and guidelines for registered midwives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To effectively interact with women, their families, and other healthcare team members, fostering strong relationships and open communication.
  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach, providing high-quality patient care through collaboration and mutual respect.
