Clinical Midwifery Educator Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced midwifery educator to deliver high-quality clinical learning and support staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering clinical education and training, participating in education planning, and assisting in the development of educational programs. They will also facilitate assessments of clinical competence and work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Deliver Clinical Education: Design and implement effective clinical education programs that meet the needs of midwives and support staff.
  • Work Effectively in a Team: Collaborate with other educators and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Communicate Effectively: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with colleagues, customers, and patients.
  • Comply with National Standards: Adhere to ACQSHC National Standards and ensure compliance in all aspects of clinical education.

Requirements:

  • Current Registration: Hold current registration with AHPRA as a midwife or have equivalent qualifications and experience.
  • Recent Clinical Experience: Have recent clinical experience in all areas of midwifery, including labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrate the ability to work in an organized manner during periods of high demand.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Display excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent Communication: Showcase excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.

About the Facility:

We are a fully accredited facility with 146 beds providing a range of acute services. Our maternity suites are designed on the contemporary labour/deliver/recover model and feature state-of-the-art technology.
