Midwifery Career Advancement Opportunity

The Royal Hobart Hospital offers a dynamic 12-month graduate midwife program, providing early career midwives with the chance to consolidate their knowledge and skills.

As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will be involved in planning, implementing, and evaluating care for women and families. Your practice will be guided by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia codes and guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Transition to Practice - Midwife (12-month program)
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan and deliver high-quality care to women and families.
  • Develop and implement teaching plans that meet learning needs and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities relevant to midwifery practice.

To succeed in this role, you must have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Midwife and Working with Children Registration.
