Leadership Role in Technical Claims Management

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to fill the position of Technical Claims Leader. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and development, and can be based anywhere in Australia.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues within the team, providing expert guidance and support to ensure effective resolution.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of new team members.
  • Manage complex claims, liaising with clients, insurers, and external providers to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Promote strong client relationships by driving contract negotiations, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, and coordinating the implementation of initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Professional accreditation as a Tier 1 or Senior Associate member of ANZIIF, demonstrating expertise in insurance and risk management.
  • A Diploma in Financial Services or a Bachelor's degree, with ongoing studies towards a Graduate Diploma in Financial Services, indicating a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt messages for various audiences and build trust with clients.
  • Proven experience in claims management and technical advisory roles, with a track record of delivering results and maintaining high standards of quality.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in training and developing others, with a focus on building team capabilities and succession planning.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing learning needs and trends within the division.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret claims history data and provide actionable insights.
  • A proven ability to drive results and maintain high standards of quality in work performance.
  • Familiarity with industry changes and a network that supports new business opportunities.
