Lead Children Services Manager

We are seeking an experienced Children Services Professional to lead our Children Services Department, overseeing High Intensity Outside School Hours Care programs.

The role involves supervising and managing a team to deliver service objectives, providing essential skills and support to promote child development.

This position will operate out of Bendigo and oversee programs in Central Victoria and Melbourne's outer western suburbs.

About the Role:

This leadership position requires a recognized diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field and three or more years of leadership experience in child services, education, disabilities or other relevant fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging activities for child development and growth
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and staff to create a safe and inclusive environment
  • Provide guidance and staff supervision, ensuring compliance with regulations and laws
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to enhance program offerings and services
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices

Requirements:

  • Recognized diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Three or more years of leadership experience in child services, education, disabilities or other relevant fields
  • Passion for child development and education
  • Strong ethics, child safety awareness, and work health and safety knowledge
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and resilience in the face of change

  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid and CPR Certificates
  • NDIS Orientation Certificate
  • Mandatory Reporting Certificate
  • COVID vaccination (including first booster)
  • Proof of Right to work in Australia
  • Be a Fit and Proper Person
  • Current valid driver's license
