Job Description:
We are seeking a Mine Geologist to join our team. As a key member of the Geology Department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality geological services aimed at optimising operational efficiency and maximising ore recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily/Monthly production/geological data validation and reporting
- Geological and geo technical mapping
- Designing and supervising drill programs
- Designing and marking up ore blocks
- Logging of diamond and RC drilling
- Collaborating with engineers to develop efficient mine plans with a focus on ore recovery
- Collaborating with operators/supervisors to implement mine plans
- Monthly and PTD block model reconciliation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- BSc degree or MSc in Geology/Geoscience
- 2-5 years experience as a mine geologist
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Experience in various mining software e.g., Surpac, Leapfrog, etc.
