Graduate Mine Geologist Job

The Graduate Mine Geologist role at Vault Minerals is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding gold mining company. This hands-on technical experience will provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in your career.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with underground mapping and sampling to minimize ore loss and dilution, and increase geological understanding of the deposit.
  • Complete stope and airleg inspections.
  • Learn to provide mining direction to ensure optimal ore position for stoping.
  • Ensure all data captured is recorded accurately.
  • Assist in entry of production data and preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Liaise with Mine Geologists to assist with ROM ore stockpile management to optimize the blend into the Process Plant.
  • Report daily grade control activities.
  • Undertake diamond core processing, including logging, mark-up and orientation, sampling, and other related measurements.
  • Work closely with experienced professionals to build a strong industry foundation and gain exposure to a broad range of technical and practical tasks.
About You

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Geology (essential).
  • Current C-class WA driver's licence.
  • Ability to observe safety rules and regulations.
  • Good physical health.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work as part of a small and autonomous team.
  • Effective communication skills with staff at all levels.
  • Vacation work experience within the mining industry, ideally within gold mining, is highly regarded.
  • Full Australian work rights.
