
Urban Development Specialist

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to launch their career in urban planning and development. As a Cadet Town Planner, you will be part of a supportive team contributing to real-world projects while progressing through your studies.
Your key responsibilities will include assessing planning applications, providing advice to developers and the public, and supporting the enforcement and development of planning controls under the Mildura Planning Scheme and relevant legislation.
In this role, you will have the chance to gain hands-on experience while studying towards a recognized planning qualification. You will be working collaboratively with experienced planners and industry experts to deliver projects that shape the future of our region.
Key skills and qualifications required for this position include current or prospective enrolment in a recognized town planning or equivalent course, a genuine interest in urban development and community planning, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, commitment to customer service and confidentiality, basic knowledge of planning legislation and procedures, proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems, and a current driver's license and willingness to obtain a Police Check.
